Abstract

The particle size of calcium aluminate cements (CAC) has a close relationship with the morphology and distribution of hydration products. In this work, two types of cements with and without grinding were used and the influence of particle size distribution of CAC on strength of castables was investigated. Matrixes containing different particle size distribution of CAC have been analysed by XRD and SEM to investigate the relationship between morphology and distribution of hydration products and strength of castables at 110℃ and 800℃.
